PRONUNCIATION: you-op-luh-SEF-uh-lus
ORDER: Ornithischia
EXISTED DURING: Late Cretaceous
DISCOVERED: Alberta, Canada, 1902
FUN FACT: Euoplocephalus means “well armored head” and when scientists picked the name they weren’t kidding -- this species even has armored plates that slide down to protect its eyelids.
